Aishwarya Rai replaced over Freida Pinto for L'Oreal Advertisement

Aishwarya Rai replaced over Freida Pinto for L'Oreal Advertisement: She's famed as one of the most attractive women in the world - but Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is having to make way for equally stunning but younger model Freida Pinto as the Indian face of L'Oreal.

The Bollywood beauties have been pitched against each other after Slumdog Millionaire star Freida, 26, featured in the cosmetic firm's 'Happy New Year' television commercial with the brand's other global ambassadors - but not Aishwarya.

According to India Today, Former Miss World Bachchan, 37, has been permanently replaced by the younger model.

But a spokesperson for the Aishwarya told newspaper India Today: 'I don't know anything about it. We need to check out the details.

'Ash is busy with her upcoming performance at an awards function, so she can't speak on this issue right away.'

The model-turned-actress has been representing the brand since 2005, while Pinto joined in 2009.

It's not been a good few months for Aishwarya.

The Indian press have been criticising her for apparently putting on weight and she is said to be considering suin! g Elle m agazine after they allegedly lightened her skin colour for their December issue cover shoot.

The actress herself has not commented on the situation, but friends of the Bride and Prejudice star have said she is 'furious'.

Freida's career meanwhile is going from strength to strength since appearing as a relative unknown in Danny Boyle's Slumdog - which also landed the beauty her co-star Dev Patel as a boyfriend.

She stars in forthcoming summer blockbuster Caeser: Rise Of The Apes alongside John Lithgow, James Franco and Andy Serkis.

She's also currently filming fantasy action movie Immortals with Mickey Rourke, which is due out in the autumn.

Is Salman Khan host Bigg Boss Season 5?

Is Salman Khan host Bigg Boss Season 5?:
The fifth season of reality show Bigg Boss is not even in talks yet, but celebrity astrologer Bejan Daruwalla has already predicted that Bollywood star Salman Khan has a lot of chances to host it.

Age-defying 79-year-old Daruwalla came for the finale of the Bigg Boss 4, dressed in a red kurta and cream pyjamas. He was in his true spirits as he danced and cracked jokes.

When the show host, Salman asked him who will win the show, Daruwalla said: I see there is a tough competition between Shweta Tiwari and Dolly Bindra.

Then he laughed and quickly added: But I can see that you (Salman) will host the next season as well.

One wonders if the prediction turns out to be true, especially because no host has ever been repeated in the past seasons of Bigg Boss. Actor Arshad Warsi was the first to host the reality show in 2007, followed by Celebrity Big Brother winner and actre! ss Shilp a Shetty who hosted the second season in 2008. For the third season in 2009, Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan was roped in.
